We are seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician/Mechanic to join our Collegeville, PA terminal team. If you have a can-do spirit, safety first attitude and prior experience, STA invites you to jump aboard as a member of our team!

 

Responsibilities

Job Tasks for Fleet Mechanic:

  • Perform thorough, accurate Preventative Maintenance inspections.
  •  Follow company required schedules and complete all required PM maintenance operations including lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotation.
  •  With direction from the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, perform unscheduled maintenance as needed.
  •  Perform complex operations including engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust repairs and field tests.
  •  Perform emergency roadside services as needed;
  • Document repairs and parts on work orders completely and accurately;
  • Maintain tools and work place so that shop conditions are neat and orderly.

Qualifications

Qualified Mechanic Candidates for this hourly position should posess the following skills:

  • Ability and desire to work in a safety first environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent supplemented by specialized vehicle and equipment repair courses applicable to diesel bus or truck maintenance and repair;
  • At least two (2) years hands-on experience as a technician/mechanic in an automotive, school bus fleet trucking or heavy equipment environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web based applications;
  • Strong organizational and customer focus skills;
  • ASE Certifications preferred
  • Valid CDL and PA inspection licenses required (within first 90 days)
  • Willingness to travel within district (close geographical area), work flexible schedule and work overtime if needed.
